The Day with the Doctors program is open to eleventh and twelfth grade students with at least a 3.0 GPA. The program gives students the opportunity to spend a day at the LSU Health Shreveport or New Orleans or Tulane School of Medicine campuses. Students learn about medical problems, work with specimens and microscopic slides, practice basic life support techniques, explore the anatomy and/or pathology labs, interact with medical students and faculty, and receive medical school admissions information and more. The program deadline to apply is November 21st. The Day with the Doctors program is held once a year in January.
